    1. How do we know that Sapo killed Salazar?

According to chapter 1 chino went into flash back when chino and sapo were in school. Chino had remember when Sapo had a fight with his teacher, Durning that fight Sapo bite his teacher in the neck and ripped a piece of skin out of his teachers neck."it was like getting away with biting Blessington's neck all over again. This prove that Sapo did kill Salazar because of the end of book 1 it says that " Salazar had suffered a serious bite to the shoulder. This links to the flash back wen Sapo biting the teacher neck when they were in school.

  2. Why would people start thinking more negative about Sapo way of being?

In Bodega Dreams by Ernesto Quinonez sapo turned into a devil. You couldn't mess with him. People reaction will be negative toward Sapo because it will make them think he will start doing bad things in the neighborhood. However this all happened when Sapo and them were in school and Blessington and Sapo started arguing that automatically something crazy happened , that crazy thing was that Sapo bit Blessington and cut his a chunk of his neck. Sapo got in detention an the punishment cause him to start behaving the way he is right know he turned like a devil with bad habits and this can also cause him to go through a bad path in his life style. For example "His was the sneakers you wouldn't step on because "sorry" wouldn't cut it". This shows that people wouldn't step on him if you didn't want a problem. Its like if someone touches your brand new pair of sneakers that you love , obviously your going to get mad, same how if someone mess with and threat him he's going to defend what he loves which is himself. Additionally when it says " a sorry wouldn't work" he mean that a sorry is not enough for him you have to go beyond that sorry if you want to gain respect from him. Sapo became a very difficult person to handle with after the situation with Blessington and him happened at school. The situation made him go through a lot bad things in his life. In my opinion having a bad temper is not going to lead you to a good thing in life.

  3. Why is Blessington so cruel to Sapo?

Sapo wasn't okay with Blessington because he was always picking on Sapo and other students in his class. Blessington was midldle class he wanted to teach to help the poor and kids who weren't on top of their education. But none of that was true he wanted people to see that he is doing something big when really he's just being selfish. Sapo snapped on Mr. Blessington and bit his shoulder. A quote that shows he didn't care about the students or was cruel to them was, ''He was one of those upper-middle-class people who think highly of themselves because they could be making money or something, but no they have taken the high road and have chosen to 'help' poor kids from the ghetto." Jose Tapia, on the other hand, was cool and wanted all latinos to succeed and tried to get everyone out of the streets.Blessington was mean because he really didn't care about anybody and wanted people to think that he is almost like a hero.

  4. What influence does Blessington's words have over sapo

Blessington's words have a major impact over Sapo because his words are making him not try to make an effort in school. One day in school Mr. Blessington kept telling the boys in the class that they were going to end up in jail. After he said those words sapo wasn't doing his homework because in book 2 round 1 when sapo and chino went to science class with Mr. Tapia as their science teacher they knew that they didnt do their homework and instead of telling him that they didnt do their homework they were trying to waste time talking about how theirs only white popes and their's no chinese or black popes or nuns. When Mr.Tapia figured out their game he asked sapo for his homework and he said he didnt do it because"Mr. Blessington told me i was going to end up in jail, so why waste time doing my homework". This is showing that since Mr. Blessington said these words that sapo doesnt feel the encouragment to even try anymore because if you say were going to jail that means that you dont believe that were going to graduate and be successful. Also when Mr. Blessington and Sapo met again and Blessington asked sapo how was his homework Sapo said "Im going to jail so why bother right?" Blessington was trying to see if sapo was going to be the one to prove him all wrong but sapo wasnt following on what Blessington was trying to say and a moment later sapo bites Blessington on the neck. This is important because after the interaction between Sapo and Blessington, Sapo starting to turn into someone who wasnt afraid to die, an adult Sapo. Also this shows that if it werent for Blessington saying what he said Sapo wouldnt be the person he is, Blessington made a man out of Sapo.

  5. Good analysis of an important moment in the text. Make sure you break up multiple ideas into 2 - 3 sentences like when you say, "After he say....black popes or nuns." This might be an example of a little TOO MUCH context. Only explain the most important details of what is happening in the scene. You should make sure you proofread your writing for mistakes in spelling/grammar. 7.5/10
