    2. How does the author characterize Nazario when first meeting with Chino?

In Bodega Dreams by Ernesto Quinonez in chapter 8 Chino meets Nazario for the first time. Chinos recognizes Nazario fro El Barrio. Chino has seen him a couple times but has never actually spoken to him. Nazario is a well made men ad respected. Chino couldn't image someone like Nazario working for Bodega. When chino was talking to Sapo about the invention they got from Bodega, when saw Nazaraio in Bodegas house he said: " He was tall, confident man in his forties who walked the streets wearing expensive suits and alligator shoes but was never mugged," This shows that Chino saw Nazario as this high class man because he buys expensive suits and wears alligater , this shows that Nazario got money.

  2. what was sapo and nazario talking about

I think sapo and nazario were talking about Alberto Salazar because before sapo and chino arrived to Taino towers Nazario and Bodega were arguing about alberto salazar for quite a long time and chino was saying to sapo that "I just know it's bad, there's something happenin here, what it is aint exactly clear". They infere that he is bad or he's a threat or enemy to Bodega and Nazario because why would you only talk about one guy for quite a long time, because he's a threat to them. After sapo and nazario were done talking nazario and bodega starting argueing more about salazar like he''s an enemy that needs to be eliminated. After chino left Taino Towers he tried to look for sapo but he had already left, so this could mean that sapo went to take care of some buisness with salazar and put him in his place for Bodega and Nazario.

  3. Why did Bodega and Nazario kept on mentioning Alberto Salazar

In Bodega Dreams by Ernesto Quinonez chapter 8 bodega and nazrio kept on mentioning the name Alberto Salazar because hes probably posing a threat to bodega and nazario. Bodega has rented a apartment on the top floor of the tower in east river, sapo and chino went to see him and nene opened the door , sapo asked for bodega but he was with nazario, and nene told him they being talking for a while and keep mentioning the name 'Alberto Salazar". For example it says "willie esto esta enserio , this guy has something "71. This shows that Alberto Salazar could be enemy of bodega and nazario, bodega face structure shows it all "his lips froze" can show hes really shocked about the situation, and worry about this guy , he can ruined their plans.

  4. What are Chinos reasons for lying to Blanca about her sister (Negra) and their deal?

In Bodega Dreams by Ernesto Quinonez in chapter 7 we see how Chino starts lying to Blanca again but according to him is all for good reasons. Chino is figuring out how to get information about Veronica for Bodega. In return for this favor he wants an apartment in one of the buildings owned by Bodega, he wants Bodega to give him an apartment with two rooms and a low priced rent. In order for him to get information about Veronica he had to go and ask Negra, Blanca's sister. He couldn't ask Blanca because she would then know he had plans she wouldn't like in mind. He tells Negra to please not to tell Blanca anything about him asking for aunt Vera. We see how this problem is continued in chapter 8. In chapter 8, we see how he wants the day that Veronica arrives to New York to come so he could finally finish with his plan and be able to speak to his wife again without having to feel guilty for lying to her. In page 73 we see how Chino is thinking to himself, "All I had to do was take Bodega to Vera and I was gone. Once I'd done that, I could continue m life with Blanca in total clarity. We'd be living in a better place, clean and newly renovated. More important, I'd be able to talk to my wife again without hiding anything between parentheses". When Chino is thinking this he is basically inferring that the only reason he does all the things he does and lies to his wife is so that at the end his son and his wife could live a better life in the future. His family is his priority.

  5. What did Chino think about Nazario?

In Bodega Dreams by Ernesto Quinonez in chapter 8 Chino meets Nazario for the first time. Chinos recognizes Nazario fro El Barrio. Chino has seen him a couple times but has never actually spoken to him. Chino couldn't imagine someone like him working for Bodega. He stood out from the people of El barrio. For example, " He was tall, confident man in his forties who walked the streets wearing expensive suits and alligator shoes but was never mugged," This shows that Chino saw Nazario as this high class man that was well respected and nobody messed with him. Chino couldn't imagine someone so well educated would work for Bodega. Nazario was one of the only people that got out of El Barrio with success for Chino.

    1. Good question and response. Make sue you include all information stated in the text for full credit. While this is true, the text also says that he thinks Nazario is "cold" and that he doesn't like him. Explain both of these conflicting feelings for full credit. 8/10

  6. Why is Bodega sure his going to marry Vera? Bodega and Vera loved each other at the age of seventeen. At this time Bodega was a Young Lord but her Vera's mother made her marry other rich man. Chino tired to get a way for Bodega to get in contact with Vera. Chino told him when Vera was coming to New York. Bodega was telling Chino the story about him and Vera. For example "Of course she'll leave that pendejo She never wanted to marry hire in the first place it was her fucken mother who pushed her." Bodega believes that Vera always will love him because she never loved the man that she married. Vera didn't marry Bodega before because he didn't have a vision on how to get money. Now that he got money Vera would love him and marry him because his successful.

  8. Why does Chinos concience bother him about bodega but not about the murder?
His concience doesnt bother him about Sapo because he feals bad for sapo he knew he could go to jail. But if he didnt get rid of Bodega he would keep bothering him."I felt bad for Sapo" this shows that chino didnt want to say anything because he didnt want to get his childhood friend into trouble.

  9. Why cant chino just stay with bodega?
Chino was promiced by Bodega that when he only had to find Vera."You said for me to find Vera and i did" Bodega is nervouse so he wants someone ther that he trusts to be with him around Vera. Bodega loves Vera so he wants to impress her but doesnt know how to do that so he wants Chino with him because he thinks that Chino can help him with his difficulties around Vera.
